Canva Community Expo!

On behalf of the LISLA Executive Board, we are excited to collaborate with the *incredible* @lieberrian (Kristina Holzweiss, Canva Trainer & Ambassador) and the West Babylon UFSD to bring you our FREE Canva Community Expo!

This is an amazing opportunity for teachers, librarians, and community members across Long Island to boost their digital design skills and network with colleagues.

This event showcases the kind of innovative, high-quality, and accessible Professional Development LISLA is committed to providing our educators. Come see why joining LISLA is the best move for your career!

• Where: West Babylon Junior High School (200 Old Farmingdale Road)

• COST: FREE! (Accepting a book donation for The Book Fairies)

Movie Meetup! Sunday, November 23rd

Come hang with us at the showing of The Librarians at Huntington's Cinema Arts Centre! Tickets must be purchased directly from their website. The Librarians, a Sundance Official Selection for 2025, will also feature a panel discussion with LI Library Professionals! Sunday, November 23rd at 7 PM.

Tickets are available online for $18.

Happening Next Week!!!

LISLA will have a quick member meetup next Thursday, October 9th at ComiCon. Show up for a photo, say "hi!" and get some LISLA swag! We will meet outside the door of the River Pavilion: Pro Stage 1, 15 minutes before and after the session, "Not Just Minecraft: Videogaming in the Classroom". Be sure to sign up so we know how many to expect! Note: you must be a current, paid member to get your NYCC x LISLA swag!
