Why Join LISLA?
We are the only group on Long Island that supports Nassau and Suffolk County Library Media Specialists (working, students, non-working and retired)
All membership dollars are responsibly used to fund grants and awards (and awesome LISLA swag!)
Leadership opportunities abound! There are many paths to serve on the board and our committees
We help foster local connections through networking and fun social events
We bring state-level awareness and advocacy to members via our NYLA-SSL Region 1 Rep (a NYLA Executive Board position)
2025-2026 Registration
Step 1) All new and returning members - complete the 2025-2026 Membership Form. Note: your membership is not complete until you make payment.
Step 2) Complete your payment online. Make sure to select the appropriate member rate (see below). Payment options include PayPal, Venmo, debit and credit cards.
Member rate options:
Employed Librarians - $30
Retirees - $15
Non-working/Students - $15
Vendor - $20
Affiliate - $15
Look out for a welcome email from our Membership Chair! We won't spam you, but we will notify you about special events and opportunities! We also want to make sure we have your best contact information.
